Garden Design Service

We offer a wide range of services, all priced at an hourly rate, such as;

• Concept only consultation - One to two hour meeting for me to give you some design inspiration and suggestions which you can look into completing yourselves, or with my assistance.
• Design only service - consultation, site survey and design for you to implement in your own time, with your chosen contractors and specialists.
• Planting scheme design - if your garden has a good design structure, but you need some sound advice and ideas to enhance your planting style, choosing plants to attract wildlife or creating a colour scheme.
• Garden styling service - A consultation and some assistance to add some finishing touches to your current garden ie; improve biodiversity, add some focal points or identify problem areas of planting.
• Client nurseries visit - Tour of a nursery of my choice, to give you some inspiration on the type of plants you want to feature in your planting scheme or garden design.
• Follow up check - Six months after your design/ planting scheme has been completed, a follow-up visit will be carried out to ensure everything is in working order and suggest any required maintenance tasks etc.
• A 10% discount is offered to any client who commissions a garden design from the Kent Landscape Studio between the months of October and February.
• Maintenance schedule - A month by month plan of tasks for you to keep your garden or planting scheme looking at its best, this service is available even if you haven't had a design service from us. Prices start at £250.

The full garden/ landscape design service takes place in stages as follows;

• 1) Client brief
• 2) Site survey
• 3) Sketch proposals
• 4) Detailed proposal
• 5) Project management (optional)
• 6) Construction
• 7) Completion - finished garden!

The designer's fees are a small percentage of the total cost of a full garden makeover. The garden build may be completed in stages if there are budgetary restrictions. Upon completion, total costs of design and build can vary from £5000 to £50,000 dependant on the client's requirements and size of the site. The average total cost is approx £15,000 to £25,000. A suitable budget will be determined with you at consultation stage. A garden build is a financial investment beneficial to your lifestyle and average costs should be estimated to be at least 10% of the value of your property.
